Adam Blake has been choreographing since he was a young boy and has an extensive background in Hip-Hop dance, lyrical, contemporary, modern, and tap.

Adam performed with Disney on Ice for eight years as a Principal skater and line captain. Since 2009, he has been winning professional choreography competitions like the Proskater’s Virtual Skate Off, Young Artist Showcase, and the U.S. Open. He was the recipient of the Grassroots to Champion’s “Champion in Life” Award and received the “Creative Visionary” Award at the 2015 U.S. Open.

In 2015, Adam produced, directed, and choreographed his own, one-of-a-kind ice show with a live band: “Music, Best Served Cold”. Since then he has assisted with choreography for two Disney on Ice shows and has choreographed Dynamic Show’s “Volkswagen AutoStadt Skating Spectacular”, Opening Ceremonies for the 2016 World Figure Skating Championships, and Show Programs for World, Olympic and National Competitors including Ross Miner and Kimmie Meissner.

In 2016, Adam served as Associate Choreographer for the Haydenettes’ Free Skate program, their first gold medal in the free skate, at the 2016 Synchro World Championships. Most recently, he was the Ice Choreographer for Ringling Bros and Barnum & Bailey’s newest production “Out of this World”.

Adam is the Artistic Director of The Skating Club of Boston’s Theatre On Ice program.

PROFILE

Throughout my entire professional career, I have immersed myself in all different forms of dance and movement. Classical, contemporary, and hip-hop influences are the basis of all of my choreographic endeavors for solos, adagio, specialty acts, synchronized skating, and group numbers.

Choreographer, Volkswagen Autostadt Christmas Shows — 2015

With Choreographer Simone Gregoriscu-Alexander, choreographed 40 pieces for a two month show engagement at the Volkswagen Auto Park.

Assisted world-renowned choreographer, Cindy Stuart, in the creation of the immensely popular Disney on Ice Presents Frozen.

Founder & Principal Choreographer, Ice Cold Combos — 2014 - Present

A successful Youtube projected featuring weekly excerpts of choreography to popular music from which the choreography skating style of “Ice Funk and Flo” was created.

Principal Performer & Line Captain, Disney on Ice: 100 Years of Magic — 2009-2015

Performed for six years as a principal skater for Disney on Ice: 100 Years of Magic. Served as male line captain for two years in which duties consisted of: training new performers, maintaining show’s original choreography and blocking, and boosting overall morale.

Board Member, Proskaters — 2010-Present

Currently serving on the Board of Directors for Proskaters and an organization that strive for the advancement and well-being of professional figure skating through connecting skaters to producers through casting bulletins, clinics, and live auditions.

Currently serving on the Board of Directors for the sister organization of Proskaters, the Professional Figure Skaters Historical Foundation. Were we document and preserve the history of professional show skating.

Performer and Assistant Line Captain in the original cast of High School Musical: The Ice Tour, choreographed by Cindy Stuart and Emmy Award winning choreographer, Charles “Chucky” Klapow.
